They are best known for their 1974 debut album\, The Children of Lir\, a folk opera based on the Irish legend of the same name. The original LP release of the album became one of the most sought after records in Ireland\, and ranks among the top 100 rarest records in the world. \n\n\n\nLoudest Whisper made several albums and over a dozen singles. The group became dormant in the mid-1980s\, but reformed in the mid-1990s with a revival of The Children of Lir. The old Celtic fire festivals are a special time of reconnection with this history. \n\n\n\nThe Celtic year starts on the 1st of November\, with the dying sun and the darkening days of winter. At this time the Celts lit fires to ward off the darkness and disguised themselves to fool any malevolent spirits intent on harm. \n\n\n\nHaving previously visited The Richmond Revival on her annual Storylines tour\, Conni will be returning this coming November 1st to entertain us with traditional myths and legends\, keeping the ancient practice of the wandering Seanachaí alive. \n\n\n\nSamhain is a time for gathering\, for games\, a watchful time as the veil between worlds thins and the Other Folk pass through. As an artist his music appeals to listeners across many genres and generations. His vocal style has a unique almost sean-nós like quality and his performances shimmer with the magic realism that permeates many of his songs as he effortlessly flits between beautiful poetry tinged with melancholy to roguish\, irreverent humour. Having released two already critically acclaimed albums in 2012 and 2016\, Nicole has returned to the stage and is coming to Fermoy for what will be an beautiful intimate concert. \n\n\n\nBefore taking a break\, Nicole had made major waves on the international music scene.  Counting Damien Dempsey and the late Nancy Griffith as friends and mentors Nicole has grown from a shy 15 year old performer to a mesmerizing\, accomplished star\, whether fronting a band or performing solo with acoustic guitar. \n\n\n\nNicole travelled to Nashville to write and from there road tested her songs around America.  She also worked with one of the most respected producers in the world\, multi Grammy nominated Mitchell Froom (Pearl Jam\, Randy Newman\, Ron Sexsmith – to name but a few). Since then\, Nicole has shared the stage with many of her musical heroes such as Paul Brady\, Glen Hansard\, Vince Gill\, Don McLean\, Donovan\, Damien Dempsey\, Nanci Griffith and Mundy to name but a few. She has also performed two solo nationwide tours\, as well as touring Switzerland and the U.S on numerous occasions. \n\n\n\nIn June 2015\, two of Nicole’s songs were featured in Oscar winning actor Robert Duval’s movie ‘Wild Horses’. In late 2015\, Nicole went back into the studio\, this time with producer Gavin Glass. Hand picking an elite group of Ireland’s finest musicians\, they joined Nicole to create her second studio album titled ‘Wishing Well’ released in April 2016. The title track of the album features the vocals from one of Ireland’s finest songwriters\, and one of Nicole’s heroes\, Paul Brady. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNicole returns to Fermoy in March for an intimate gig \n\n\n\nCANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: A minimum of 7 days notice ahead of the event date is required for refund requests.
