The Ghost Junction & Anthony Ruby

Friday November 28 @ 8:00 PM 11:00 PM

Eoin Jordan and The Ghost Junction band play at The Richmond Revival

We’re delighted to welcome back another familiar face, Eoin Jordan, but this time with a talented troupe of fellow musicians. The Ghost Junction will be performing at The Richmond Revival this November with a very special guest Anthony Ruby.

The Ghost Junction is a Cork-based folk rock band. Expect the weaving of a rich tapestry of sound that blends Folk, Rock, Blues, and Country into a powerful, rootsy experience.

Known for their evocative original songs and deep dives into the earliest days of recorded music, their performances move effortlessly between the contemporary and the timeless.

With Eoin Jordan (Bouzouki/Guitar/Vocals), David Quirke (Bass/Guitar/Vocals), Tadg Sheehan (Guitar), and Roger Ryan (Drums/Percussion/Vocals), The Ghost Junction bring heartfelt musicianship and an earthy, dynamic energy to every stage they play.

Anthony Ruby is an exceptionally talented Uilleann Piper, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. His debut solo album, Black Water Rising, has definitely been a labour of love considering it has been four years in the making.  Anthony plays a range of instruments on the album with the uilleann pipes, whistles and vocals to the fore.

The album presents the traditional art of Irish Uilleann piping with contemporary, self-composed folk songs.  The album combines traditional and non-traditional instrumentation in an innovative way whilst also employing some elements of experimental sound design. Traditional reimagined by a talented, skilled, and passionate artist resulting in a fresh feel and sound.
